R290 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant-it does not deplete the ozone layer and exhibits minimal greenhouse effect, making it an environmentally sound refrigerant. From an environmental perspective, there are no restrictions on the initial installation of R290 refrigerant in new refrigeration equipment or its use during after-sales maintenance.

Primary Applications of R-290
Primarily employed as a replacement for R22 and R502 refrigerants in low-temperature refrigeration equipment. Due to its flammability, R-290 is typically used only in low-temperature refrigeration systems with minimal charge volumes, or as a component within low-temperature blended refrigerants. R-290 is compatible with conventional lubricants.
 

 

Storage and Transportation of R-290
R-290 refrigerant cylinders are pressurised containers and are flammable and explosive. They must be stored away from ignition sources and heat sources, and protected from direct sunlight. They should typically be kept in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. During handling, cylinders must be loaded and unloaded with care to prevent damage to the cylinders and fittings such as valves.

Applications
1: As a refrigerant in central air conditioning systems, heat pump air conditioners, domestic air conditioners and other small refrigeration equipment, replacing HCFC-22. Also used as a fuel for metal welding and cutting.
2: Propane is commonly used as fuel for barbecues, portable stoves and motor vehicles.
3: Propane typically powers trains, buses, forklift trucks, and taxis, while also serving as fuel for heating and cooking in motorhomes and during camping.
4: In some rural areas of North America, propane is used to fill heat-generating appliances such as stoves, water heaters, and hand dryers.

4: Shall we send back the cylinders to China for refilling?
Yes, if you have our cylinders, you can return them for refilling. Simply notify us before exporting, and we'll manage all import customs clearance formalities.
